The home opener for the Warriors turned out to be a great game against West Chicago High School. Wheaton Academy's
Ty Seager open the scoring off a great pass from
Casey Zimmerman. Seager scored again before halftime off of a
Marshall West service. The Wildcats of West Chicago were strong as always and brought a wave of pressure after the halftime break. They scoredd off of a back post run to make the score 2-1. The Warriors responded within minutes as
Casey Zimmerman's pressure created his own goal to make the score 3-1.
Drew Sezonov made a huge save off of a PK and a rebound to keep the game with the finishing score of 3-1.
The game was filled with back and forth play as each team is finding their identiy early in this 2013 season. The Warriors return to action on Saturday against conference opponent Aurora Central Catholic at 6:30pm at home. The Warriors currently stand at 2-0 on the season.
