Warriors win first road game at St. Edward

12/11/15

The Warriors traveled to St. Edward Catholic for their first road game of the season shorthanded last night, injurys preventing Anthony Polinski and RW Rienow from suiting up. A strong team game was needed, with everyone contributing for a win, and that is exactly what happened. The Warriors started off hot early in the first half, including a pair of 3 pointers from both Luke Ledesma, Jameson Teuscher, and another by freshman Jimmy Paganis. St. Edward would not go away, however, and clawed back to within 2 points at the end of the first half. In the second half, the Warriors used their size advantage and started to dominate inside. Tommy Blum scored 10 of his game high 18 points in the second half, and Sam Scharnowski added 8 of his 10 in the second half as well to push the lead to double digits. Senior Luke Manske and sophomore JD Gunn contributed solid minutes down the stretch, and the Warriors came out on top.

Wheaton Academy Boys Varsity play their next game on December 18th at IC Catholic Prep High School in Elmhurst.
