Falling to a 8 point deficit after the 1st quarter, Wheaton Academy found themselves in a hole. By half time, the Warriors cut the deficit to 5 and trailed 26-21.
The third quarter was pivotal for the Warriors, as they outscored Timothy Christian 15-8. And in the fourth, the Warriors iced the game hitting their free throws to extend the lead. Wheaton Academy held Timothy Christian scoreless for 13 minutes in the second half.Â
Anthony Polinski lead all scorers with 24 points, and
Tommy Blum added 8 to give the Warriors the 53-43 victory.
Wheaton Academy travels to Riverside Brookfield Friday night (January 29) in a rematch of the Warriors loss to RB in early December.Â
