Warriors Win Senior Night

The Warriors celebrated six incredible seniors on Thursday night against South Elgin.  AC Hardy, Sophie Lindquist, Faith Pollino, Kat Sezonov, Lydia Sedjo, and Rebecca Steininger have been great leaders in the program and were honored with their families before the game begin.  Once the whistle blew, the Warriors took on a quality South Elgin side.  The Warriors jumped out to the lead off of a Sophie Lindquist goal.  The strike came from a set piece that included multiple saves from South Elgin before Lindquist made the finish for the 1-0 lead.  The sides traded possession throughout the first and second half before and Emma Goebel header off a Rebecca Steininger corner kick moved the game to 2-0.  Julia Liposky was solid in the goal and made 7 saves on the evening.  The Warriors finsihed well and captured the 2-0 win on a very memorable senior night.  The Warriors move to 9-6 overall on the year.
