The Warriors of Wheaton Academy opened conference play with a 2-1 victory over the visiting Timothy Christian Trojans. The Warriors started strong with a goal in the 3rd minute when
Allen Rodriguez crossed to
Logan Finnegan for the go-ahead goal. The Trojans equalized in the 18th minute as Josh Wise converted a penalty kick. The Warriors regained the lead in the 32nd minute when
Solomon Pitts found the back of the net, assisted by Finnegan. The second half of play saw plenty of action on both ends of the field, but no further scoring. The Warriors advance to 2-1-1 on the season (1-0 MSC) and will play at Elmwood Park Thursday 9/5 at 6:30pm.
