The Wheaton Academy football team lost to Marian Central by a 63-20 score Friday night to bring the 2013 campaign to a close. The Warriors played a tough first quarter and entered the second quarter tied 7-7. Marian was able to open it up in the second quarter and took a 49-13 lead into halftime.
Both teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter.
John Gemmel had a solid night, carrying the ball 24 times for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Camden Meade had 7 carries for 58 yards and 1 touchdown. On defense, safety
Luis Ramos made several key tackles from the defensive backfield.
The Warriors finish the season with a 4-5 record. The seniors had a great run and were committed for four years; they will be missed next year!
