Wheaton Academy has named
Justin Swider as the new Head Football Coach of the Warrior football program.
Swider has served Wheaton Academy for the past twelve years as a teacher and Assistant Athletic Director, playing a key role in shaping the culture, direction, and mission alignment of the athletic department. His leadership has reflected a consistent commitment to student formation, excellence, and Christ‑centered athletics.
A Wheaton College graduate, Swider competed collegiately in both football and baseball, modeling the multi‑sport experience Wheaton Academy values in developing well‑rounded student‑athletes. Swider will continue to serve as Head Baseball Coach, a position he has held for eight years and as a member of the football coaching staff for twelve years. Swider has also contributed as a wrestling coach, where he played a vital role in the development and growth of the program.
Within his many areas of leadership, Swider is known for relational leadership, intentional discipleship, and a commitment to the holistic development of students. His long‑standing service reflects deep investment in the Wheaton Academy community and strong alignment with the school's mission to develop students who love God, love learning, and impact the Kingdom.
Athletic Director Brad Byrne commented on the appointment:

Swider and his wife, Renee, are the parents of five children—JJ, Urijah, Stryker, Haven, and Phoenix. The Swider family is excited for Justin to take on this new role.
Swider will begin his head coaching duties immediately as he prepares the program for the upcoming season and builds upon the strong foundation of Warrior football.
