Aurora, IL -
In what has become a favorite beginning of the season event, the Wheaton Academy girls golf team traveled to the Valley Green golf course in North Aurora for a Nite Golf event. Glow sticks, glow necklaces, and glow golf balls are all part of the revelry in this event when everyone tees off at 8:30 pm. The team all plays together in a scramble format for nine holes where the par is 31.
Playing in the event were teams from all over the western suburbs. Wheaton Academy girls posted a score of 31 which finished 5 strokes behind the event winner, St. Charles North. Twelve teams participated with Wheaton Academy finishing tied for 6th place.
The girls move back to regular tournament play and will host St. Edward's on Wednesday, August 24th at Pheasant Run. Tee times for this event are set to start at 4:00 pm.
