Girls Golf Has Strong Home Opener

Wheaton Academy girls golf opened their head-to-head match season with a win over St. Edwards of South Elgin 165 - 232.  The match was played over the first nine holes at Pheasant Run Golf Course with a par of 35. 

Scoring for the WA Warriors were:  Lauren Isenhart (Sr) 40, Margaret Harmon (So) 40, Meredith Bult (Sr.) 41, and Chrislyn Herring (Sr) 44.  Isenhart and Harmon's scores of 40 were good as co-medalists.

The team travels to Champaign, Illinois on Friday to compete in the Brookhill Shootout.  This event is scheduled for a 1:00 pm shootgun start.
