ST. ANNE, Ill. (Sep. 28, 2020) - The Wheaton Academy girls golf team earned fourth-place at the Metro Suburban Conference Tournament on Monday. As a team, they shot a 400 on the Oak Springs Golf Course. Junior
Caroline Kelly posted an 87 which gave her a share of eighth-place overall.
Kelly's 44 on the front and 43 on the back were her two lowest nine-hole rounds of the season. Junior
Anna Jones tallied a 102 over the 18-holes to finish in 22nd-place. Right behind Jones was senior
Ellie Coniaris who tallied a 103 while
Sumana Danielson and
Mya Langfelder each shot a 108 to round out the Warrior scorers.
Vivian Kutek posted a 115 for the Warriors, followed by
Chole Korb with a 123 and
Caroline Nogle who recorded a 149. St. Francis (Wheaton) won the team event by shooting a 325 team score. Rosary (368) and Riverside-Brookfield (392) took second and third-place, respectively.
They will visit Rosary on Wednesday in their final dual of the season before competing in the IHSA Regional Tournament on Oct. 7th at Boone Creek Golf Course
